- Use Skyscanner for both flights and car rental. Don’t snooze on multi-city searches!
- Choose in-terminal car rentals, even if a few bucks extra. The meet and greets have proved very interesting. Read, sometimes nonexistent.
- Use Google Maps to check the location of (and search for) hotels and places to stay. Location is everything!
- Get a Chase Sapphire Reserve. Now. The hefty annual fee ($450) instantly becomes $150 after you’re reimbursed for anything travel related (including rideshares, people), and you get a Global Entry credit (worth $100, includes TSA Precheck).
- The points on the Reserve make it worth it, and you’ll then pay for glorious international (or domestic, should your heart desire) trips with those points.
- Speaking of domestic travel, you can also transfer the points to travel partners like our beloved Southwest.
- Ask us how to get the Southwest companion pass.
- To find the best grub spots in any location, simply use Google Maps and filter for “top rated.” Wala!
